Members of our Association entered for BJJ Open also
and won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
The Hungarian Open has grown into a large competition,
many foreign competitors entered, the numbers of the
entries were over 300. One of our competitors got into
that team what won the team competition. 

Five people took exam on the autumn exam day in the
Central dojo, the examiners were shihan Attila Kovács
and shihan László Berkes. There were four blue belts
(3rd kyu) and a brown belt black stripe (1st kyu)
examination and all of them were success. Candidates
came from different parts of the country and several
generations were represented.

On the last meeting of the Presidency decided
that 2013 year's summer camp will be on the
same place and time as usual:between 21tst and
27th July in Bungalow Park Balatonfenyves. The
fee of the camp will not change. See you again
at Lake Balaton!

The last stop of our autumn seminar series (ground
fighting-syllabus-standing fight) was today in
Kecskemét in Hirös dojo. In sensei Sándor Füvesi's
training we went over again the principles, the
techniques of the standing fight, also the aim of
the struggle and its correct tactics.

Traditionally we arrange our exam day in spring and
autumn period in the central dojo led by shihan Attila
Kovács Technical Director. The autumn national exam
will be on 17th November. According to the previous
applications there will two blue belt and two 1st
kyu exams.

The Presidency of our Association decided today to
start the "New dojo" development program. It means
that we outsource twenty pcs mats and other necessary
equipment into the newly established dojo to start
training. The "New dojo" program complements and
replaces the existing Tatami Application.

We noted with surprised and regret that because of 2013
working days transfers1st December 2012 became a working
day! As most of our judges, organizers and competitors
can not to come to the competition, so we forced to cancel
the 18th Kecskemét Cup National Ju Jitsu Competition.
Next event in such type will be in April 2013, it is 14th
Hirös Cup.

On 27th October 25th anniversary of the club foundation
was celebrated in the restaurant of Bányai Júlia High
School. Forty of the former and current members
remembered to the events of the quarter of a century.
Soke István Kelemen promoted Tibor Szabó to 1st dan
level.

Our traditional semi-annual belt material seminar was
on 13rd October in Central dojo leading by shihan
Attila Kovács technical director. Now blue belt
material was discussed. We took over all the
techniques totally. There were thirty people
participated on the seminar from the thirteen dojos
of the Association.

Sensei László Killer led Zalaháp dojo and lived in
Sáska. His funeral was there in 12th October. There
was a mass in the local church for his memory and the
funeral started at 13 o'clock. Hundreds of people
were accompanied on this last journey, including the
representative of our Association, relatives, family,
friends, his students, training mates from other ju
jitsu organizations as well.

After a long time soke István Kelemen held training
again in Nyíregyháza. So many people took part in it,
a lot of not active jitsuka also came. On the training
our founder Master gave exact deep explanation in
connection with the operation of the techniques.

Deeply shocked to inform you that in the year 49th of his
life after a long serious disease sensei László Killer
passed away on 2nd October. He was a 2nd dan master, leader
of Hungarian Ju Jitsu Association Zalaháp dojo His funeral
will be on Friday 12th October at 12:30 in his place of
residence, Sáska.
Rest in peace!

Kelemen Ryu is training material in Counter Terrorism
Center. Soke István Kelemen takes workouts every day
for the commandos. So it is no wonder that on the
Combat Sports Gala what was organized by CTC we
arranged an important part of it:  the Ju Jitsu
Groundfighting competition and held a special
presentation.

A relatively new dojo of our Association is Zanshin
dojo. It was founded by sensei Éva Daru and sensei
Ferenc Földházi in 2010. Today were the first yellow
belt exams. Two people exam for white belt with
yellow stripe (6th kyu), four people exam for yellow
belt (5th kyu).

On 22nd September we took part in Martial Arts Galas
at two locations. We represented the Ryu and the
Association in Veszprém where our presentation was
organized by was sensei Lajos Tálos and in Kecskemét
organizing by sensei Éva Papp. In the following you
can read their reports.

We commemorated our friends deservedly with doubled
numbers of people compared to last year. The event
honored by presence of Norbert' s mother, his wife
Adrienn and his daughter Bíborka. The opening
ceremony Adrienn and Norbi's friend, Gergely
Szilveszter Kovács greeted the competitors.

Autumn seminars were opened by grappling seminar of
sensei Sándor Fekete. It was in Bányai dojo Kecskemét.
27 people took part in it. There were a lot of warm
up, tracking practices, techniques and explanations
in those four hours.

This morning our counter reached the number million.

The broadcast of Sport TV's Martial Arts magazine
gives a summary of our Summer Camp in September.
Soke István Kelemen's narration helps revive the
week. In the report he speaks about the events of
the camp and also about the history of ju jitsu
and our Association, the Ryu registration as well.

On 29th September a spectacular Budo and Martial Arts
Gala will be organized by Counter Terrorism Center in
SYMA Hall. There will be an amateur full contact K1
competition, a BM scoring karate and a ground fighting
ju jitsu competition. One of its guests of honor is
our founder master soke István Kelemen.

Two years ago our sports mate and friend, Norbert Rohács
has passed away in a motorcycle accident. In memory of
him we organize competition in every September in Hatvan.
This year it will be on 22nd, Saturday in the sports hall
of Kossuth Lajos Elementary School (where was the last
two times). Remember Norbi together!

Last year we presented a Jubilee Album for Summer Camp
in July. One page was dedicated to our dead friends.
There were seven people in this page of the Album.
Since then we have three more dead loved ones. In
February soke Robert Clark, the leader of World
Association died. In March of last year sensei Tibor
Takács passed away who was the leader of Debrecen dojo,
two years ago Norbert Rohács killed in motorcycle
accident; he was the member of Hatvan dojo.

On 3rd August in 1992 three of our Association's
leaders passed their exam for 1st dan level before
dancollege of soke István Kelemen. Attila Kovács,
István Ónodi and László Berkes acquired their black
belt. On that day sensei Imre Szurkos got his 2nd
dan level.

The first seminar of the Fall semester will be held
by sensei Sándor Fekete, Pan American champion, World
and European Champion ground fighter. He likes to
teach and does it well. We can meet him on 15th
September in Kecskemét Bányai Dojo. Everyone is
welcome for the 2*2 hours training!

Our Summer Camp was from 22nd July till 28th this year
in Balatonfenyves Bungalow Park and the gym of local
primary school. 140 people took part from 4 countries.
There were a lot of events during this time at the
camp: 21 trainings, 6 dan and 8 kyu exams, 2 promotions,
discussion, BBQ, cooking competition, closing party
with karaoke.

This year promotions were declared also on the last
day's evening during the closing ceremony. Founder
master soke István Kelemen promoted two instructors
to the following levels: shihan Ronen Eliyahu got
6th dan and senpai László Gyüre got 1st dan. Closing
ceremony was colored by presentations and giving
over plaquettes.

It wasn't possible not to notice that fortunately
increased the number of young people at Summer Camp.
Till this time our experience was that our members
took their dan exams in their 30's or 40's. Now three
people were in their twenties. There were the young
ukes, fighters which shows that young people will
come in the future too.

Kyu exams were traditionally on Thursday afternoon.
We do not remember so many kyu exams than was this
year, totally eight. There were a 6th kyu, two 3rd
kyu, three 2nd kyu and two 1st kyu exams, all were
successful. Leaders of examination committee were
shihan Attila Kovács, shihan László Berkes and
sensei István Ónodi.

It was the first time when we invited sensei Jenő
Novák kickboxing master who held very good trainings.
The workouts of founder master soke István Kelemen
were so intense as usual. Shihan Ronen Eliyahu,
shihan Mika Mantere and sensei Kari Lehtonen were in
the camp as instructors also.

The first video was uploaded which soke István Kelemen
presents typical techniques of Kelemen Ryu what was
founded by him. His uke is his first student shihan
Attila Kovács. They present defense techniques against
attacks with tools, unarmed and performed on the
ground. After the photos you can find the video also.

Summer Camp of International Budo Kai has just
finished on Csillebérc, also Kelemen Ryu is appeared
one day. Our master soke István Kelemen educated the
participants. He was invited by hanshi István Adámy he
is the leader of Hungarian Kyokushin Karate Association
and the Technical director of IBK.

We will held our Summer Camp between 22th, Sunday -
28th July, Saturday in Balatonfenyves Bungalow Park,
next to the Balaton lake. We will have a new trainer
addition to our known masters soke Istvan Kelemen
and soke Vlado Schmidt and the others, who is the
excellence of CTC Jenő Novák, he will teach us the
wile of kick-box. More than ten dan and kyu exam
will be held,afternoon and evening trainings,
Forum, Budo Gala beside these - it will be the
professional program.

Gabriella Dorogi introduced the Counter Terrorism
Centre in the Naplo program of TV2 on 17. June.
They were speaking about the activities of CTC and
the training as well. Soke Istvan Kelemen gave
interview to the reporter. The Master said, that
the ju jitsu education is very important part of
the training. 

On 16th June we were taught again by shihan József
Kálóczi in Siófok. This was one of the practicing
days for those who are involved in trainer course.
They was three so other instructors can joined it,
it was a further training for them. As last year we
got a high level theoretical and practical training.

On 16th June will be held again in Siófok one day of
the training course of the instructors. Shihan József
Kálóczi 5th dan master, leader of the Hungarian
Kyokushin Karate Organization Instructor Committee
will teach. Last year there was a great attention of
it and the participants got benefit a lot of learned
from there, could build in theirs instructor job.

On the third day of this year's seminar series sensei
Sándor Füvesi taught us the basics of standing
fighting. Talked about the basic principles, how we
move efficiently and economically, what is we have to
pay attention to be successful in fight. With this in
this semester scheduled seminars have been completed.

continually updated and inform us the life of our
Association. Many people liked our homepage in a
short time, we have 500 likes now.

We held the Spring exam day on 14th April this year,
nine person took this exam successfully. Four dojo sent
examinee, but the Szui Ryú dojo emerged under the
leadership of Károly Seres, because five (!) person
took brown belt exam from this dojo. Congratulations
for the examinees and their trainers too! This day
was the celebration of ju jitsu too.  

After arriving home from Pan American Championships,
Sándor Fekete hadn't got a lot of time remained to
relax, because on Friday he held a training and on
Saturday there was a ground fighting seminar. We
practiced tracking exercises and simple well used
techniques in 2*2 hours.

Sensei Sándor Fekete got 1st place last year and also
this year at BJJ European Championship in Lisbon. After
the second success he thought a bold and applied the
Pan America tournament which was organized in Irvine
next to Los Angeles in late March. He found no
conqueror here also. As we know till this time Sanyi
has been the only Hungarian competitor who can win
at Pan America tournament.

We are going to held our Spring and Autumn exam days by
the leadership of Attila Kovács our technical director
in the Central Dojo traditionally. Fortunately, the
applications have multiplied lately, and the exams are
high level. Now we have more than ten candidates, so
this day will be the feast of ju jitsu.

We paid attention on techniques of green belt (4th Kyu)
on the usual half years belt material seminars of our
Technical Director. It was the 9th occasion. In the
four hours training time we dealt with every detail of
the base and techniques as well. It was a great
opportunity to study personally from the first
disciple of Founder master.

Perhaps it has been the best Monorierdő Friendship Cup
till this time. The snack bar was excellent and
unbelievably cheap, everybody got worthy opponent, we
saw very good matches and it finished in time! 
The numbers of participants were increased and level
of quality was raised. What else you need?

On 15th February 2012 shihan Attila Kovács 6th dan
Technical Director of Hungarian Ju Jitsu Association
visited Veszprém. He taught jitsukas in about 3
hours in Ten-Shin-Kai Ju Jitsu Veszprém dojo. It was
enough time to exercise more area of Kelemen Ryu Ju
Jitsu as well.

On 14th February 2012 Tuesday we organized a friendly
ground fighting competition in 'Római parti' dojo where
we also invited the junior kayak kids of BKV Elore SC. 
It was a great chance for them to break the monotony
of winter preparing with a happy cheerful evening.

Soke Robert Clark who died last week was the technical
director of the World Association and 9 dan master. He
was first time in Hungary in 1979 and several times
since then, in Summer Camps of 1988, 1995 and 2002. He
was the most influential master of the recent decades,
thousands of people learn ju jitsu as direct or
indirect student of soke Robert Clark. Rest in peace!

Sensei Sándor Fekete kept his unbeaten position and
he could win again in his group this year in European
Championship what was organized by International
Brazilian Ju Jitsu Federation. Sanyi won the only
golden medal among Hungarian competitors this year.
With this medal now he has three European Champions
title.

As you can see on the right for months Budapest was
also in competing for the right of organize the World
Games 2017. Ju Jitsu was the part of the application
too. In the meaning of today's decision Wroclaw
(Poland) won.

Hungarian Ju Jitsu Association organizes its
Summer Camp also in 2012 (22nd - 28th July) in
Balatonfenyves. We returned to the well-tried
date at the end of July and to practice that
we ask deposit from participants 30 days
before the camp.

Traditional events will be taken, we plan only one
new thing: Ten-Shin-kai dojo in Veszprém also
organizes competition. There will be leadership
selection general meeting again, because we are in
the fourth year again. Main programmes are
instructor meetings, National Exam days, fighting
and exam material seminars, camps, competitions.

At the end of last year directly before Christmas Eve,
on 23rd December were exams for kids in Sakura Kyokai
dojo in Debrecen. Sensei Béla Kubinyi, the leader of
the dojo examined the kids for orange and purple belt
levels. The exams were successful, director praised
the discipline of the kids and the preparatory job
of Ildiko Kubosi and István Márta.

Our last jubilee year was very dense, the program was
less in 2011, but still we can report plenty of events.
Both the members of Association and the number of dojos
have been expanded, and we didn't have shortage from the
events and the participants, thanks to our instructors.
We received sad and uplifting moments from this year.
We tried to mention every significant events in our
composition.
